Welcome to my professional portfolio, which I created as my final project for my Introduction to Web Development class in the University of Washington Information School's Master of Library and Information Science program. About Me
I have almost ten years of experience as a K-12 teacher in all subject areas, primarily in grades K-8. In my time at the iSchool, I focused on school librarianship, as well as on information access and the intersection of social justice and young adult literature. I am particularly interested in young adult books about mental health, feminism, and LGBTQIA+ issues.
I have a B.A. in History/Social Studies from Western Washington University and an MLIS from the University of Washington. My teaching endorsements are in 4-9 Humanities, 5-12 Social Studies, and K-12 Library Media.
